About Fit & Size

Because there is no longer a reliable industry sizing standard that anyone can agree upon, we give you the measurements in inches. That way, you’ll know if something really will fit your lovely frame. So it’s time to take out the measuring tape and be honest, girls, you want your clothing to fit you and look great, right? You’ll want to compare your measurements to ours, leaving yourself some wiggle room. We state the fullest measurement for bust, waist and hips, with the garment lying flat. Sleeve measurements are taken on the outside, from natural shoulder to wrist. Dress length is shoulder to hem, pants are measured on the inseam, from crotch to hem. If you need further measurements, just ask.

Condition

At Daisy Fairbanks, we just won’t bother with things that are in poor condition, so you don’t have to worry about buying a project that needs your expert skills as a seamstress or laundress before you can wear it. Who wants that? Not us, and not you. Our items are, however, vintage which means that they have in most cases been worn before. Vintage items can be sometimes more fragile, but in most cases have far finer construction than most garments made today.
With that in mind, here’s a looksy at what we will show you:
Flawless means that the item is in mint condition with no sign it was ever worn.
Excellent items have no notable flaws, but may have minor evidence that they were previously worn or laundered.
Very Good condition tells you that we have found and noted a minor flaw or two that makes it less than pristine, but the item is wearable or usable exactly as found.

Shipping

US and Canadian Customers Within the US we ship using Priority Mail, or Parcel Post if the package is over 4 lbs. We ship International First Class to Canada, or Priority International if the package is over 4 lbs.
We charge a flat rate for all customers within the US and Canada. Shipping for most lightweight single items is $5.95, medium weight packages are $8.95, and heavy items like coats are $14.50. Within the US, delivery confirmation is included. Shipping combines automatically, just purchase the items you want and our shopping cart will (quite affordably) combine the total. All packages are insured at no cost to you. Orders are shipped quickly, within a day or two of payment in most cases.
International Customers We ship via International First Class Mail, or Priority for heavier packages.
Shipping starts at $12.00 for lightweight items, and combines automatically for multiple items.

Payment

We use Paypal as our credit card processor. It’s safe and secure, and no account is necessary. All you need is a valid Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover, credit or debit card. Paypal also accepts e-checks with a verified bank account.
US Customers Payment by credit card through Paypal is preferred. If you’d like to pay by check or money order, please let us know in advance of purchase. We hold shipment up to 10 business days for check & money order payments.
California Residents All orders will be charged 8% state sales tax upon checkout.
International Customers Payment with any major credit card through Paypal is our preferred method. We also accept Western Union payments, please contact us in advance for information and instructions. Sorry, but we cannot accept international checks or money orders.

Return Policy

We’ve done our best to describe it, you’ve measured yourself and are certain it will fit. But sometimes, it’s still not right, and we want you to be happy. We will gladly accept returns if you absolutely must. Just write to us within 3 days of receipt and let us know that it’s coming back. Returned items received within 14 days will incur a 10% restock fee. Returns received between 15 and 30 days after original ship date will be subject to a restock fee of 50% (we really want you send it right away.) The item must be returned to us undamaged and with hangtags still attached, packaged securely and insured. Shipping and handling on return merchandise is non-refundable. Returns are not accepted beyond 30 days.
